HELICHRYSUM
Nome scientifico
Helichrysum italicum
Descrizione
Thin, silvery leaves that seem covered in a dust of light.
Helichrysum is a plant that retains the heat of the day and releases it as a scent:
a dry, warm, resinous aroma, reminiscent of hay, licorice, and a sun-drenched coast.
It is a plant that does not break: it bends, resists, and adapts to the poorest soils.
Percorso Olfattivo
Warm, enveloping, sunny.
A scent that evokes the dry wind of summer, white stones, and arid, luminous expanses.
Curiosità
Also called "everlasting" because its flowers never completely wither.
In Sicily, it was said to "bring warmth": dried bunches were hung in homes to perfume the rooms and keep away damp.
It was considered a protective plant, often placed in cribs or under mattresses.
