RUSSIAN SAGE

Scientific name

Perovskia atriplicifolia

Description

Light, almost impalpable, Russian Sage moves with the slightest breath of air.
Its slender, lilac and silvery stems seem to dance above the arid earth.
Its scent is discreet, more ethereal than intense: a distant echo of traditional sage, but fresher, cleaner, brighter.

Olfactory Path

Fresh, herbaceous, light.
An aroma that doesn't overwhelm but accompanies.

Curiosity

Despite its name, it is a plant resistant to hot, dry climates, perfect for Mediterranean landscapes.
In rural gardens, it was chosen to attract bees and butterflies: a presence that brought movement and life to sunny spaces.
Its leaves were sometimes dried and used to perfume rooms and closets.
